Das
Seminar befasst sich mit den Voraussagen der
Optimalitätstheorie für die Sprachtypologie. Es ist
in drei Einheiten strukturiert:
- Einführung in die Optimalitätstheorie
- Faktoriale Typologie
- die stochastische Generalisierung der
Optimalitätstheorie: das Verhältnis von Kompetenz und
Performanz
Der inhaltliche Schwerpunkt liegt auf den Arbeiten, die im Rahmen des
Projekts

California at Santa Cruz entstanden sind.
