Kursbeschreibung
Die Vorlesung vertieft die Kenntnisse über die Bedeutung sprachlicher
Ausdrücke, ihrer kompositionalen Berechnung, sowie des Zusammenhangs
zwischen der Bedeutung von Ausdrücken und ihren Gebrauchsbedingungen.
Dabei werden wir uns auf die folgenden Themengebiete konzentrieren:
- Implikaturen (nicht-wörtliche Aspekte der Interpretation,
die sich regulär aus den Gebrauchbedingungen von Sprache ergeben)
- Präsuppositionen (Hintergrundannahmen, die bei dem Gebrauch eines
sprachlichen Ausdrucks implizit unterstellt werden) und ihre
kompositionale Berechnung
- Bedeutung und Gebrauch von Fragen und ihre Beziehung zur Semantik von Fokus
- generalisierte Quantoren
